Registering your Pet


Registering your pet at Selectively Bred Inc. is easy!

At the moment I have four(4) seperate selective breeds that can be registered, and each have their own registry+archive. First, make sure that your bred pet fits with one of my selective breed standards (if unsure, refer to my Selective Breed Standards at either my website Charmme or this Whiskerwick thread to review them). Okay so you're pretty dang sure you've got a registerable candidate and you reeeally want that sweet custom graphic for your pet, here's what you gotta do...


Getting Started


As you can see on our (example) Sample here to your right, there's a variety of information needed to fill out our Petz' Papers. Now the easiest method available would be to

* send a copy of the pet you intend to register to me, along with the name you have chosen to be their registered name (preferably a show name, or their name with a prefix attached), as well as the name of whoever bred them if you are not the breeder *

With this method the rest of the needed info I can gather on my own and I can also take their Paper's Photo for you. Once everything is completed to your satisfaction I will then delete the copy of your pet from my computer and send you back your graphic!

Take your Photo


For your petz photo to be suitable for use, they need be posing (not overposing or skinny posing) in the 'Dali frame' with their head facing towards the viewer: as shown to your left. While your pet should be as square in the body as possible, their alignment doesn't need to be perfect.

If you already have Dali show pose photos of your pets those are perfectly okay to use in your application. No need to worry about background transparencies - I can fix that if it's required. Pictures should be sent in as either gif or png files.

* If you're submitting a photo for a breed that uses the Cargo Sheepdog Eye Fluff OW, pictures that show no eyes, one eye, or both eyes, are all accepted *



What do all These Things Mean?!
Registered Name This will be the name that will be seen on their papers. If you show, then their Show name with the correct prefixs is the preferred option, but their regular name with your prefered prefix is accepted as well. Registry Forms

Date of Birth Pretty simple! The date of birth as shown in their Petz Profile
Sex Their gender
Type Now depending on the SB you're registering for, there can be a number of types available to register. Each breed has a rundown of their different 'Types' on their standards page, but if you're unsure feel free to contact me and I can/will help you sort them into their respective category :)
Lineage If your pet is the first of their breeding/line to be registered they are a Foundation Pet; these individuals will be the cornerstone of the SB's future breeding stock! Petz that have both parents registered with SBInc will be what we call Pedigee bred; their parent's registery numbers recorded on their papers so people can trace back their lineage through the archive! An accurate generation count of your pet is required as well, when possible.
* If your pet is an offspring of registered parents, we will require both of their parents registery numbers to be included with their application *
NIB If your pet is Inbred or not. Using LNZ to check this is the best way, but Inbred or Non-Inbred we don't descriminate :)
Breeder The prefered community name of the person/player that bred your pet (if it's not you!).
Owner Aka, you! Or the person who currently owns the pet being registered. Please use your prefered community name, if appliacable.
