Newfoundland Dogs

If you're a fan of big, sweet, and endlessly fluffy, then Newfoundlands are the Selective Breed for you! The first breed I've worked on that incorperates a P5 breed, the Newfoundland has been my most intensive Project yet. Their base genetics include Sheepdog, Poodle, Great Dane, and Golden Retriever; with Mutt, Chiuahuha, and Dalmatian added in for select, standard accepted, markings. I wanted to stay somewhat close to the Real Life Newfoundland Dog standard while having some room to grow - Petzy style. Honestly, I think Newfoundlands are what I wanted my Sheplands to aspire to, although Sheplands have the benefit of being a P4 base SB with lots of fun color combos to play with: but while the Newfies may not be as flashy, there is something still so very satisfying about them!

Newfoundlands are big - Like, BIG big. And solid under all that fluff! They have the size of the Great Dane, the extra fluffy tummy of the Golden Retriever, and the ever lovely, long, silky ears of the Poodle. And its aaaaall wrapped up in a loveable, goofy Sheepdog package - You really can't go wrong! Only full length (non-bobbed) tails are accepted, and breeding with Cargo's Sheepie Eyefluff OW file completes their looks.

Head=sheepdog; Ears=poodle; Body=golden retriever; Legs=sheepdog;
Feet=sheepdog; Tail=sheepdog(long); Coat=sheepdog; SCP=sheepdog; Scales=157(dane)

Shape and Size
Newfoundlands share the spotlight with The Great Dane for having the largest scale size in game, with only dogs of 157 scale being accepted. Extentions should both be in the positives (0+), with the Golden Retriever's Body Extention (29) being a secondary goal.
Variations
In wanting to stay close to the standard of Real Life Newfoundland Dogs, there are only a few different coat colors/markings accepted; at least for the moment! Accepted variations are likely to be added in the future, as there are dilutions genes found within the breed.

Black
A solid black coat - or a black coat with accepted white markings. All Mutt patches (excepting the hip Patch and base of tail Patch) are allowed. Any of the white Chihuahua markings are allowed. Mutt ears are not allowed.

Brown
A solid brown coat - or a brown coat with accepted white markings. All Mutt patches (excepting the hip Patch and base of tail Patch) are allowed. Any of the white Chihuahua markings are allowed. Mutt ears are not allowed.

Black or Brown Irish
A black or brown coat with at least one(1) accepted white marking + visible spots. Spots must match coat color. Mutt ears not allowed.
